Memory Matters Legacy of Hope
Planning a gift through your estate to sustain Memory Matters can assure our future financial security for the next 20 years of caring for the Hilton Head community. Your charitable gift to Memory Matters will help us support, educate and provide a break for families living with memory loss.
Why Support Memory Matters?
Baby Boomers are getting older, and the number of Americans with cognitive impairment is expected to grow each year as the size and proportion of the U.S. population age 65 and older increases. It is estimated that 5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, the most prevalent form of the disease.
“Memory Matters offers many ways to ease the anxiety and frustration of dealing with dementia. Alzheimer’s was in our family, and we often felt helpless as caregivers. Our planned gift will help others so they will not go through it alone and caring help will be available.” – Bob and Sigi Rutherford
Planned Gifts for Every Income Level
We offer planned giving arrangements to meet your needs. Gifts can vary from a simple will bequest to arrangements that help you maintain financial independence through favorable income and tax-saving benefits. For more information, contact Jan Smith, Development Director, at 843-842-6688, Ext. 1014.
“Memory loss can strike anyone, no matter how brilliant or successful. Making a planned gift is simple to do yet so important. Our gift will help ensure that Memory Matters continues providing the same impressive level of care and dignity fifty years from now as it does today” – Beth and John Weymouth

"I am grateful beyond words for the people who educated me, but above all showed compassion and kindness when my world was falling apart. Support for caregivers was positive, knowledgeable and upbeat. We have included Memory Matters in our estate to show our appreciation and to ensure others have this same opportunity." – Arlene Murphy
